Every year I participate in this wonderful event to benefit Hospice.  The food is spectacular and it’s all for a good cause!

This year I am bringing The Buyce Photobooth!!!   Be sure to stop by  for some photobooth fun!

More informtaion about this awesome event:

This year’s “Touched by an Angel” event is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th at The National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs.  One of the most popular venues for Community Hospice, this outstanding cocktail party is the place to see and be seen after the track has closed for the season, and life in the Spa City has returned to a bit of normalcy.  This benefit is the talk of the town, and 575 locals and politicians consider it to be the best party in Saratoga Springs.  It caters to all folks in the community, including the many well heeled from Saratoga and the Capital District region.  If you wish to promote your business, then this is the event for walking, talking, and successfully networking.  And, with fifteen incredible food stations, two complimentary champagne stations, two cash bars, coffee station, huge dessert  station, and assorted elegant hors d’oeuvres, you never go home hungry.  Our popular Memory Tree tables will be filled with delightful holiday gifts to purchase.   Without a doubt, this party is a sure winner in all ways, and continues to net $100,000 for your Hospice each year!

All proceeds raised from this event will be used to support Hospice patient care, and programs and services in Saratoga County.  Tickets are $70 each, and may be purchased ahead of time, or at the door the night of the event.  For more information, please call 581-0800.

Photobooth FUN!!!

Generational Goodness at The Hole in One Donut Shop: Cape Cod, MA

Last week I attended the Roots Workshop, a 5 day intensive photojournalism in Cape Cod.  The 15-20 hour days were grueling and I was pushed well past my comfort zone.  But, it was all worth it and  I am still reflecting on this experience.  I learned so much about truly documenting moments, composition, and most importantly people.  My assignment was to document The Hole in One Donut Shop in Eastham.  This is a family run business for over 20 years.   The donuts are to die for, so make sure you stop when you are on The Cape!  The story I chose to tell was mainly about the older gentleman that have been coming to the shop for over 20 years.  Each of them had a story to tell and they just wanted someone to listen.  They were warm, welcoming and funny.  I felt a special connection to these men, some of them  reminded me of my father.   I hope you enjoy the images I made.

Special thanks to The Hole in One Donut Shop for letting me spend two days in your establishment during high season, I truly appreciate it!

Huge thanks to Tyler Wirken and Rachel LaCour- not enough words, thank you…

Generational Goodness

This gentleman have been coming here for coffee and donuts for 20 years. They were so great!

They all have fun, quirkey business cards about retirement, I have all of them!

One of my favorites from the 2 days I spent at Hole in One Donut Shop.

Yes, they gave me a warm, dripping donut: soooo GOOD!!!!

Sibling love!

This is Clyde, he had his own stool and comes in everday at 9:30am. Did I mention he is 94, adorable and still drives!

The guys requested a photo together. Did I almost cry on the spot, yup!
