Hi All!
Welcome to my new blog! Many, many thanks to Madeline for the new design! You can check her work at: http://madebymadeline.blogspot.com/

So I am christening the new blog with an engagement shoot with the fabulous Jess and Michael! Jess and Michael are Texans attending Albany Law School. They are getting married in Texas next January, but wanted an Upstate N.Y. winter feel to their engagement pictures. We met the day of the shoot and hit it off immediately. They are a great couple and we had a blast going all over Albany, including their Albany Law.

I want to thank Amy Elizabeth for doing such a great job with Jess’s make-up. Check her out at: http://www.makeup-designs.com/

Jess: I am looking forward to your Bridal Portrait shoot this summer!

2009 Bride’s Choice Awards from Wedding Wire!

Published: 02.03.09
Categories: My life

I was thrilled to receive an email this morning from Wedding Wire. I received the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award! Wedding Wire is also directly affiliated with Martha Stewart Weddings. Thanks to all my fabulous brides for their great feedback! Here is the link to an additional press release: http://www.webwire.com/ViewPressRel.asp?aId=85681
You can see my vendor page on Wedding Wire: http://www.weddingwire.com/

Press release from Wedding Wire:

“WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Tracey Buyce has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!

In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US. That means Tracey Buyce is one of the very best photographers.

Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews.

“We are excited to launch this annual award program to honor high-performing vendors based solely on the experiences of our WeddingWire community,” according to Timothy Chi, WeddingWire’s Chief Executive Officer. “This year’s recipients have set the bar high, exhibiting excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.”

Tracey Buyce Photography would like to thank our past clients for speaking on our behalf and helping us win the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!”

Published in Well Wed magazine!!!

I am thrilled to have my photos from the 2008 Wedding Season featured in Well Wed magazine! I am even more happy for my fabulous clients for having their wedding photos featured! Krista and Bob’s wedding received a full feature. They were married June 14, 2008 in Salem, NY. Krista created the entire wedding, right down to baking her own wedding cake and adding details to the hor de vours on the back of the old FORD blue truck! Krista is also a wedding planner!

Hillary and Andre were married August 2, 2008 in Greenwich, NY on her family’s farm. Another wedding with attention to detail. They had an old fashioned type writer instead of the traditional guestbook, love it!

Congrats to these amazing couples! It was truly a pleasure to a part of your weddings!

You can pick up your own copy of Well Wed at Borders or Barnes and Noble. You can also purchase it online at: http://www.wellwed.com/

Be sure to visit my table at The NY Wedding Affair, January 31st at The Canfield Casino in Saratoga Springs, NY. To reserve tickets and check out the event go to: http://www.aweddingaffair.com/

Krista and Bob’s wedding….

Details, details, details………

Didn’t Krista do a great job with the truck?!

The candy bar set up for all Krista’s daycare kids… Of course I ate some too :)

This image is from Hillary and Andre’s wedding and graced the 2nd page of Well Wed. The old fashioned car belongs to Hillary’s uncle. I love the vintage license plate……

Various images in Well Wed’s wedding album, couples that are featured: Hilary and Andre, Jason and Elizabeth, Alicia and Matt, and Cristina and John.

Hillary and Andre….

The full page image is mine. The cake is designed by Linda, from Sweet Nothings, http://www.sweetnothingsny.com/ Her cakes are elegant and delicious. Linda also caters and makes chocolates that are incredibly yummy!

These are all images from Hilary and Andre’s wedding. Details really do make a difference….

The full page image is mine, credit goes to another photographer for the bottle image. This image was made at Krista and Bob’s featured wedding.

Elevate 4 workshop and photo shoot in Tennessee with Garrett Nudd Photography

Published: 12.30.08
Categories: My life

In October, I went to Elevate 4, in Chattanooga Tennessee, hosted by Garrett and Joy Nudd. Garrett and Joy photographed my wedding in Switzerland back in June. I love their style of photography, so it made sense to attend their workshop. I learned so much and had a great time photographing, Annette, our model. Elevate 4 taught me so much about myself, my style of photography and my own evolution in photography. It also reaffirmed the importance of the connection you have with your clients and I have to say, I have been very blessed to have such fantastic clients!
Here are the links to Garrett and Joy’s blog, as well as to the other photographers that were at Elevate 4. I had several favorite images, see below!
