Carissa & Scott: 9.8.12

There are so many reasons why I fell in love with Scott when I first met him 5 years ago…his sense of humor, caring nature, and thoughtfulness are just a few of things that stood out to me right away. Those qualities are still true about Scott today, and my favorite thing about him is the way him and I fit together. He makes all the bad things not so bad and all the good things even better. Scott is my rock and I am thankful everyday that I met him. I feel so lucky to call him my husband.

-Carissa

Carissa is truly my better half the only person in this world that makes me whole. She is full of so much life and love that it inspires me to try and be a better person everyday. She is smart and beautiful and I am so thankful that she has chosen to spend the rest of her life with me as my partner.

ON FAMILY

My family has been a source of unconditional love, support, and lots of fun throughout my life. I am thankful to all that they’ve taught me and done for me. I know that I never could have become the person I am today if it wasn’t for their love and support. And a big thanks to my dad, who taught me that each day is better with laughter and goofiness. As an only child, not only was I close with my parents, but also my friends. On our wedding day we were so lucky to be surrounded with our close friends and family. Both Scott and I know how important it is to have a loving community of friends and family to share life with; and we look forward to continuing all the warmth, fun, and love that we had growing up into our own home.

Family is the foundation on which we grow as people. I believe your family is what molds you into the person you are.  There is nothing more important then bringing a child into this world and surrounding them with love and nourishment. Honesty, trust, and togetherness is what makes a family strong.
