Kia & Geoff: Saratoga National
Kia & Geoff were married 12.5.09 with an amazing reception at Saratoga National. Many thanks to Saratoga National’s event planner, Sarah Chilson for keeping things running smoothly!
They reception was lit beautifully by Clifton Park Rental. Mike did an amazing job with the custom lighting.
They were of course, hoping for snow and we got just enough to make some beautiful portraits. We even dragged the whole bridal party outside for a few!
Kia & Geoff: “What a fun wedding! You both were wonderful to work for and I look forward to working with you again. I wish you lots of love and happiness in your marriage!”
much love,

Sharee and Jon were married 11.21.09. They are an incredibly laid back and just a great couple to be around. I first met Sharee, September 2008, when I photographed Stacey and Zack’s wedding. Stacey also happens to be my amazing hair stylist, who works at Scissors 3 in Colonie. Sharee’s mom owns Scissors 3. My last post, Colleen, of Colleen and Eric, is also a Scissors 3 client. Are you still with me? Point being, word of mouth referrals and Scissors 3 are the best!
Sharee and John had an amazing evening wedding and chose not to see each other before the ceremony. It being late November, we knew we wouldn’t have any light post ceremony. In these situations, I always try and encourage couples to do a first siting. However, in the end, I am working for the couple and I always respect their decision. They wanted their first siting to be at the church when she walked down the aisle. So, for their portraits, we used some off camera lighting at The Lighthouse. We braved the cold and the darkness to create their wedding images. Sharee and Jon were thrilled with the results and in the end that is what’s most important, happy clients!
Sharee & Jon: “It was wonderful getting to know you both over the past year. What a great wedding! I wish you lots and lots of happiness!!!! See you at Scissors 3!”
much love,
t.

Sharee's dad, Fred, helped me hang the dress in a tree. A refreshing change :)

Seriously, how cute is she!

So happy and sweet with stunning blue eyes....

Jon's 95 year old great grandmother attended the wedding....One of my favorite images...

So cold you can see their breath, brrrrrrrrrr....

Their love for each other is so evident, I love these moments...

Sharee's mom's reaction....

A couple of the bridesmaids rockin' it out!

Colleen and Eric had an extraordinarily warm October 30, 2009 wedding at the beautiful Glen Sanders Mansion
It was a balmy sixty degrees and some of the most amazing light I have ever worked with. I used to get excited about cool shoes and denim, now it’s gorgeous sunlight :)
They are both N.Y. State Troopers who were introduced to each other by a mutual friend. They are such a great couple and so obviously in love it makes me smile. They had a beautiful wedding, Colleen and Eric even had an ice cream sundae bar. I love this idea!
On a side note, I found it ironic that I got pulled over for speeding on my way home. I was very fortunate that the police officer decided not to give me a ticket!
Colleen and Eric: “I will always remember your wedding day and that brilliant late day sun. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!”
Much love,
t.
Many thanks to:
I may have gotten a little carried away with their portraits in the post, but the light was just so pretty!

What perfect light!

This is one of my all time favorite bouquet shots.

And Colleen said it would be hard to get a true smile out of Eric...GOTCHA!

We made this image pretty quickly to keep up with the wind and cotten tails :)

This poor little guy was terrified through out the day. I just wanted to hug him :)

First dance!

The tables looked really beautiful....

YEAH!

The gorgeous Colleen with wedding planner extraordinaire Shannon and her intern Laura...

Last but not least Colleen and I. We both get our hair done at Scissors 3 in Colonie. Hope to see you there soon Colleen! Photo courtesy of my 2nd shooter, Jeff.
Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! I photographed a wedding in Texas over New Year’s weekend and even learned the 2-step! I will be blogging that wedding a little later since I am still playing catch up from October weddings. Brandy and Jerry had a beautiful wedding, October 24, 2009. This wedding has a special place in my heart because it was the first wedding I photographed in my home town of Northville, NY. I am also friends with all three of the Jerry’s sisters. It was a pretty amazing day!
It literally rained all day except for about 45 minutes and that 45 minutes happened to also be the time we allotted for portraits. I could not have been happier! I would have been pretty sad for them and myself if we didn’t make images by The Great Sacandaga Lake.
Thanks to Amy Elizabeth Smith Make-Up Designs!
Brandy & Jerry:
“Thank you so much for entrusting me to document your wedding day. I wish you a lifetime of bliss!”
Much love,
t.
I will start with one of my favorites images of the day….

Aren't they cute!

I just love Northville, it's so pretty....

Brandy rocked out this image (Jerry too :)

I used to go by this old building all the time. Who knew I would be back to make a portrait!

Jerry's sis and my friend Katherine...She has the best eyes...

Brandy with her Dad, I love these moments...

And these moments, I hope she got a good one :)

And the uninhibited moments...

Thanks Mr. & Mrs. K, what a great wedding!!! Photo courtesy of my amazing 2nd shooter and friend, Jeff Guntert.
