I am honored to have my work  featured in several top-ranked  photography and wedding publications and websites, such as: National Geographic,  The Knot New York, Rangefinder, Wedding Photojournalist Association, Fearless PhotographersWPPI print competitionProfessional Photographer, and Well Wed

I love learning and a firm believer in continuing education.  Each year, I attend several, sought after photography workshops, taught by the best photographers in the world.  This inspires me to continually hone and evolve my photojournalism skills and expression as an artist. I am an active member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, Fearless Photographers and Professional Photographers of America. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The College of St. Rose, in Albany, with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  I was pursuing my master’s degree in mental health counseling, when I changed paths to pursue my passion and launched my photography business.

I am a dedicated animal advocate.  I am a proud board member and official volunteer photographer  for CANDi International.   CANDi International offers free spay and neuter clinics in Mexico and the Caribbean.  Two to three times a year, I travel and photograph these clinics and the street dogs.  My experiences and images were featured in several area newspapers, including, The Times Union, The Saratogian and Saratoga Today.  We were featured on TV as well, WNYT and WRGB.  I also volunteer locally for Community Hospice of Saratoga.

In March 2013 I traveled to Yungas, Bolivia to volunteer and photograph an animal refuge, Senda Verde, for Photographer without Borders.  Senda Verde will use these images to raise awareness and fundraising to stop the poaching and  illegal trafficking of animals. Here are 2 short videos from my trip: Leo the Capuchin monkey, aka my photo assistant and Canelo, Pimienta, Paprika and I enjoying a quiet, Cloud Forest morning.

I love paying it forward, including, a series I am working on: “Married 40 Years or More.”  A series on elderly couples and their secrets to a long, happy marriage.

In short, giving back is really important to me.
