Happy Summer!

I had two dreams as a photographer, The New York Times and National Geographic.  I am blessed and honored to say, both have come true!  My love for photography, animals, and they people who love their animals, have made these dreams a reality!  I was recently interviewed by the New York Times, "Vows"  for my wedding photography with pets.

Lake Placid Lodge Wedding: Allie & JP with their Dog, George! Lake Placid, NY

Allie & JP had a beautiful Lake Placid Lodge wedding!  Their beloved french bulldog, George, was the flower girl!  Allie & JP reside in Manhattan but wanted to get married in the stunning mountains of the Adirondacks.  They couldn’t have chosen a more perfect wedding venue!  The Lake Placid Lodge has several fantastic areas for great wedding photos.  But, it was the emotional moments of Allie & JP’s wedding that made it so incredible.  They had the cocktail hour before the ceremony, which I really like.  The guests were relaxed, mingled with the bride and groom, and were blown away by the incredible views of Lake Placid. Their wedding ceremony was my favorite part of the day, it was so romantic!  Allie didn’t want to stand too far away from JP during the ceremony, so she spontaneously ran over to his side and snuggled in!  It made for very poignant images!  It really is the moments that matter, the moments are what we remember.

Ginny & Dan Engagement - Lake Placid Lodge

Dan and I had been dating for close to six years when he surprised me with a trip to Lake Placid in the summer of 2011.  After two vacations earlier in the year, this was disguised as trip that he had to make for work.  We arrived in Lake Placid and had lunch and drinks at the brewery.  After, we decided to visit Whiteface Mountain before checking into the hotel.  We walked around the summit enjoying the clear, beautiful view.  Dan insisted that we go to an area less crowded, looking towards the North.  He dropped to one knee and proposed.  It was such a special moment in our lives and one that will leave lasting memories in Lake Placid.
